Software Developer

Red Cow Marketing and Technologies is currently seeking a Software Developer to join our development team. This position is based in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Responsibilities

  • Develop web applications from scratch based on client requirements.
  • Maintain existing Red Cow CMS products as well as custom web applications developed for our clients.
  • Develop custom functionality for client web sites.
  • Database design and administration.


Required Skills

  • Experience in one or more web-based programming languages, preferably including PHP.
  • Good working knowledge of XHTML and CSS.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of SQL.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, Prototype, script.aculo.us, and Yahoo! User Interface.
  • Experience with various web APIs such as Google Maps, Facebook, Twitter, PayPal, Basecamp, and FreshBooks.
  • Linux server administration skills including mail, HTTP, DNS, MySQL, etc.
